Our Sustainable Practices 🌱

Greetings fellow coffee lovers! This is just a quick message from iKhofi to share with you our passion for sustainability, along with letting you know some of the ways that we’re working towards a better future.

Coffee is a gift from Mother Earth, so it’s only right that we treat her with the respect that she deserves. That’s why we do everything we can to ensure that our practices are sustainable at every stage in the game.

It doesn’t start and end with coffee, we also take steps to ensure that the farms and communities we work with across the world are provided with what they need to run and independently.

Here are some of the ways we try to contribute to a more sustainable present and future:

  • Electric Vehicles: Our team runs on coffee, but our delivery vans don’t run on petrol! Each and every delivery vehicle is entirely powered by electricity, so you can get your beans and ingredients without adding to the climate crisis.

  • Fully Recyclable Bean Packaging: It’s important to stay ahead of the curve, even in details like your product’s packaging. We aren’t interested in making landfills any bigger, so we make sure all our packaging is fully recyclable, including our coffee beans.

  • Ethical Beans: We work with Rainforest Alliance to ensure all of our beans are certified, helping to protect forests, conserve wildlife, and support global communities.

  • The Ripple Effect: We work closely with the Ikawa N’Inka Project in Rwanda, to provide local communities with the confidence, expertise, and natural resources necessary to lift themselves out of poverty. This is achieved by donating a percentage of all our iKhofi coffee bean sales to the Ripple Effect.

  • Fuel-Free iBaristas: When your coffee machine is in need, we send our talented iBaristas either on foot or using public transport. Servicing a coffee machine shouldn’t contribute to emissions!
